Park City is one of the few towns in American with a ski lift branching off Main Street. To create this design, the city built a grass covered ski bridge across a side street then used a rather clever design of layered buildings to encircle the lift.
Park City hosts multiple community festivals on Main Street. The part of the design that the city got right was that the design includes wide open stair cases that flowed into the street with a pedestrian overpass, shops and ski lifts on a second layer.
In this picture you see the ticket office for the ski lift on the left. A stair to Main Street in the center and a pedestrian bridge over Main Street on the left. This type of multi-dimensional design adds character to a location.
